Specialized Clinical Focus
- Deep Tissue / Deep Pressure: Uses slow, firm pressure to target deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Often used for chronic muscle tension and restricted movement.
- Myofascial Release: Focuses on releasing restrictions in the fascia (connective tissue surrounding muscles) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
- Medical Massage / Manual Massage: A treatment-oriented massage tailored to a diagnosed condition or injury, often as part of a healthcare treatment plan.
Trigger Point Therapy: Applies sustained pressure to tight, sensitive knots (trigger points) that can cause local or referred pain. - Cupping Therapy: Uses suction cups to lift tissue, which may help reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, and support recovery. Temporary circular marks are common afterward.
- Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT): Targets specific muscles and nerves to address pain, muscle dysfunction, postural imbalances, and movement issues.
- Swedish / Relaxation Massage: Uses long, flowing strokes and gentle kneading to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and improve circulation.
- PNF Stretching Technique: Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation combines stretching with muscle contractions to improve flexibility and range of motion.
- Sports Massage / Massage for Athletes: Designed for active individuals to improve performance, aid recovery, prevent injuries, and reduce muscle soreness.
- Structural Integration: A series of treatments focused on improving posture, body alignment, and movement patterns by working with connective tissue.
- Injury Recovery / Motor Vehicle Injury Massage: Therapeutic massage for soft tissue injuries resulting from accidents or other injuries, often coordinated with other healthcare providers.
- Acute Pain Conditions: Treatment focused on recent pain or injury, using techniques appropriate for the stage of healing to reduce pain and restore function.
